To support Queensland practitioners in professional and business development through skills transfer between experienced and inexperienced practitioners. The programme is designed to allow early-career practitioners to gain credits and experience.
There are two strands to the programme – development attachments for employment within a production company and production attachments for employment on projects in production and post-production

Applicants are encouraged to discuss their application with the relevant Project Manager prior to submitting an application to Screen Queensland.
What will we support?
Positions within a production company whereby the employee and the company can clearly demonstrate that there will be a significant increase in development activity.
Who may apply?
Queensland based practitioners. Applications will be received from a team consisting of an attachment and a mentoring production company. Applicants can be working in any position or format in the screen industries. Applicants (whether the employee or the production company) may apply to the programme for a second time and Screen Queensland will consider an application for a second year of employment at 50% of the first year's grant where there are no other acceptable applications from new applicant teams. Two companies may apply jointly to share the one employee. Sharing arrangements would need to be clearly outlined. The application needs to be received and approved before commencement of employment and applicants should be aware of Screen Queensland's standard 4-6 week assessment period for all applications.
How will we select attachments?
Strong emphasis will be placed on the capability of the team to add value to the professional and business development of both parts of the team.
Applicants will submit:
· an outline from the attachment of professional development expectations and how this position will enhance career opportunities;
· a position description from the production company/ies;
· a letter of intent from the production company/ies to engage the attachment conditional upon the attachment being granted;
· CVs of the team.
How many attachments will be funded?
The maximum allocation for this portion of the programme is $100,000 per financial year. Four (4) attachments per financial year in the form of a grant, each up to $25,000, to be paid to the company, each six (6) months in advance, to meet part of the attachment's costs of employment including salary.
Screen Queensland expects that the mentoring production company/ies will match or better Screen Queensland's contribution to the attachment's salary and will require evidence of the salary paid. Standard terms of employment (e.g. superannuation and insurance) will be expected to be covered by the employment arrangements.
