Talk to us about your project before applying
Applicants are encouraged to discuss their application with the relevant Project Manager prior to submitting an application to Screen Queensland.
What will we support?
Queensland slates of projects that are taken to markets or events and meetings (international and domestic) that are relevant to the proposed marketing and audience strategy of each project; extraordinary circumstances that arise which present a clear professional development opportunity.
Practitioners in receipt of annual grant will not be eligible for any further marketing support for the calendar year.
Who may apply?
Queensland producers, Queensland writers and/or directors attached to a project and travelling with the Producer are encompassed under the grant. The applicant must demonstrate ownership of all the nominated projects.
How will we select projects?
In addition to the usual terms and criteria for marketing grants applicants must apply with a creative and business proposal that includes at least three (3) designated marketing destinations for their slate and demonstrates they can achieve it within their proposed budget.
Projects need to demonstrate market-readiness and be supported by a consistent and demonstrable schedule of proposed meetings.
Applicants must apply with a slate of projects (minimum of four - six), of which one should be the 'lead' project. Applicants demonstrating market interest will be preferred.
Full criteria and rationale can be found in the Marketing programme (see separate description).
How much will be provided and in what form?
The maximum allocation for this programme is $200,000 per financial year.
Five (5) practitioners will be funded per round each financial year in the form of a grant of up to $20,000 to be paid in three tranches and upon receipt of invoices:
a) First drawdown upon execution ($10,000)
b) The second drawdown upon delivery of the first and second marketing reports ($9,000);
c) The third drawdown upon delivery of the third marketing report and an audited report (with receipts) detailing their travel expenditure ($1,000).
