The 2011 Queensland Premier's Literary Awards shortlist was announced by Premier Anna Bligh. The Screen Queensland Award for Film Script shortlist includes: Alice Addison for The Hunter, Porchlight Films "This year's shortlist includes passionate, inspiring, educational and humorous works by some of Australia's great writers, reflecting the incredible literary talent thriving in Queensland and throughout Australia," Premier Bligh said. "I am very pleased this important awards program, in its thirteenth year, is still attracting so many diverse and high quality entries from such exceptional established and emerging authors. The Queensland Premier's Literary Awards is a national program that acknowledges, supports and enriches the arts throughout Australia, and offers Australian writers the opportunity to gain national recognition while developing their craft of writing.
