Screen Queensland’s newest “graduates” of the Production Attachment programme, Joe Frances and Courtney O’Brien-Brown, recently completed their work at New Holland Pictures on the Australia-Finland-Germany co-production Iron Sky with the support of Screen Queensland.
The Production Attachment programme supports Queensland practitioners in their professional and business development through skills transfer between experienced and less experienced practitioners. The programme is designed to allow early-career practitioners to gain credits and knowledge.

INDUSTRY: Queensland’s 3D technology capacity expands with new 3D camera system, the first of its kind in Australia |

Queensland’s award-winning Producer and Director Ross Isaacs has announced that his company, Ocean Planet 3D will have available the world's first underwater 3D camera system shooting in 5K resolution, DEEP ATOM, by the end of the year.
Ross Isaacs’ film Humpbacks – From Fire to Ice recently won two 2011 Telly Awards for best documentary and best editing and he has previously won Best Director the 2009 Jules Verne Adventure Film Festival in Paris.

Go Lingo!, Carbon Media’s exciting new high energy TV game show for kids aged 11 to 12 years old launches on ABC3 on 11 April 2011, hosted by Alannah Ahmat. The show celebrates Australia's Indigenous culture.
“Go Lingo! is a real achievement, it’s like nothing else on television,” said executive producer and managing director of Carbon Media, Wayne Denning. “The show encourages excellence in spelling and grammar but more importantly, it showcases Australia’s first languages and the cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.”

PRODUCTION: Brisbane steals the show in new TV production SLiDE |

In a first, Brisbane will star as a character in its own right in FOX 8’s new multiplatform drama series SLiDE, which is currently shooting in the Queensland capital. This funny and frank series follows the exploits of five teenagers smashing their way into adulthood, is co-produced by Playmaker Media and Brisbane-based Hoodlum.
