Where can I find a contact number for a production company and/or producer?Due to the current privacy laws within Australia Screen Queensland can not distribute certain contact information without the express consent of the producer or production company. The best place to source this information is by reviewing the ENCORE directory, imdb.com or researching the contact details of the production company via the web. Where can I find crew rates?Average crew rates can be sourced via the Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance (MEAA). I’m interested in obtaining acting or extra work on a production. While you can contact a production directly, the best way to find out if a production is sourcing talent, extra or principal, is through an agency. You can find an agent by looking in the Encore Directory, (http://www.encoredirectory.com.au/). Another excellent source of information is the Media Entertainment Arts Alliance which has a very useful list on the agents operating within the state, (http://www.alliance.org.au/resources/agent_lists_%26_related_information/) I’ve been told that I need insurance for work on a production, what do I do?Screen Queensland does not act as an insurance broker. Consider contacting an insurance company to see their policy. Alternatively, contact an established production company to research their policy on insurance. |
