I've been working in the media industry since 2003. Starting with surf photography it quickly moved to photojournalism and then progressed to film and edit on tvc's. Worked with NBN TV for roughly 6yrs, in that time whilst mainly camera op/ editor my roles varied to directing, writing, producing, lighting and audio on many tvc's. I am a political writer with credits in film, theatre, government, community groups and poetry. I am the former president of the Queensland Writers' Centre and believe a German ethos of recorder, that the story finds the writer in itself and so crosses mediums.
My current project is Whiskey, Roses, Cockroaches - a play about the whiskey au go go, which apparently is the first play about a massacre in a nightclub in a nightclub. I am working on a screenplay The Fight about the first black/white heavyweight title in the world in Brisbane, Sydney and North Queensland with Max Cullen attached.
I am also the editor of The Crop, a literary journal circulating in Fortitude Valley and a collaboration between writers and visual artists.
